Mom and Dad will be in Maryland for the Tea Party on April 15th. The plan is to celebrate Dad's 70th on the 17th at Grandview. Beyond that, we need to start planning. I plan to use this blog format - as long as it works for all of you, to post topics and share ideas so that we can start planning. April 17th is only 3 months away!! Invitations would need to go out in the middle of March.
A few things that need to be decided sooner rather than later:
1) Determine a time for the party
2) Guest list / approximate size of the party
3) Place: The Grandview party room/terrace -- there may be space limitations/fire code which would influence guest list
4) Approximate Budget- which will drive food / party size
Other:
1) Theme
2) Decor
3) Food/drink/tables, etc - Caterer
4) Entertainment / DVD presentation / toasts
5) Cake
6) Gifts / Birthday Card solicitation
7) Invitations / Save the Date
